Montana advised police the girl — later recognized as Sodsai Dalzell — entered his dwelling in Malibu, California, eliminated his 9-month-old grandchild from a playpen and held the kid in her arms.
Montana and his spouse, Jennifer, confronted the girl, tried to de-escalate the scenario and requested the girl to provide their grandchild again, police stated.
“A tussle ensued and Mrs. Montana was in a position to safely pry the kid out of the suspect’s arms,” a press release from sheriff’s division reads.
Dalzell fled Montana’s dwelling to a close-by home in Malibu the place she was later taken into custody by sheriff’s deputies. She is dealing with costs of kidnapping and housebreaking.
